So it's finally time. Time to introduce the beautiful doll, the gift from my wonderful colleagues, Glorielle's younger sister, my long-awaited, much yearned for, Merry Skier...
Genevielle Mae!
Awww... she is such a sweet lass! <3<3<3

We last saw Princesse hatching a plot to get Glorielle into trouble. Luckily their Godmas came along and thwarted their plan. Merry Skier was saved and lovingly brought home (together with Glorielle of course).
My birthday present, Merry Skier, still in her box.

“Hey you! How’s the view from inside the box? Do you like my dress?”

Me: Glorielle, stop teasing her! I’m going to take her out now.
“Aww… so soon? But she looks so happy in the box! Maybe we should leave her inside for a few more days.”

Me: Well Glorielle dear, be nice. She has been in the box long enough.
So Glorielle sat at a corner and watched me silently while I unboxed her new sister.

Almost there!

Just then, Glorielle dashed up front to talk to her sister.
“I guess we started out on the wrong foot. Let’s shake hands and be good sisters ok? Remember, I’m older and cuter!”

The excited little girl then offered her help.
“Let me give you a hand!”

“Is this a trick?” wondered Merry Skier

Fortunately for her, cheeky Glorielle had no tricks up her sleeve and was really sincere in helping. So after being trapped so long in the box, Merry Skier was a little dazed to be out.

"You know, you really need to change out of those clothes..."

So after helping MS change into something more suitable for the humid weather...
"There! You look much better!" declared Glorielle as she looked at her new sister.

Well, I'm really hoping that they will get along great... *crosses fingers & toes*

Glorielle was doing her favourite activity whenever she comes into the office - sitting at her Godma Fenni’s table, people watching and eavesdropping on the latest juicy gossips.

But today was not like other days.
In a box not far away…
“How I wish I can join her.”

Glorielle lost in her little world was still on the lookout for gossips…
“Lalalalala…”

Moments later, along came Princesse who immediately caught sight of the box…

“Not again! Don’t tell me…Argh!!!”

“Yups! That’s my new sister in the box” piped in Glorielle who had wandered over to meet the shell-shocked Princesse.

“And you’re just going to sit there and take it in? Don’t you know she is going to take your clothes, your toys and your shoes?! She is even going to steal all the attention away from you!” shrieked Princesse.

“But what am I suppose to do?” asked Glorielle

“I have a plan. Now shake my hand if you trust me.”

Glorielle’s interest was piqued and she reached out hesitantly to shake Princesse’s hand.

“C’mon now… you’ve got to trust me!”
“Ummm… what are you thinking of exactly? Will mummy be angry with me if she finds out?”

“Don’t be such a ninny… I’m sure she won’t find out. We’re just going to make it look like an accident. By making her fall over and into the trash bin! Isn’t that a great idea?!”

“Umm… okay…”

“Heh Heh Heh…”

So did they manage to carry out their plans? Stay tuned...

On that fateful weekend where Princessy became visibly upset, I decided not to traumatise the poor girl further and left Aubrey in the box. Afterall, she was still a "newborn" and to be faced with a companion so soon is understandably hard on her.
I decided to handle the "girl in the box" on the following weekend instead. In the meantime, I was contemplating whether to sell or to keep her...
Such a pretty box with a pretty girl inside...

So colourful...

Should I sell her?

Or keep her?

"Mummy! I promise I'll be good. Please let me get me out of this box!"

And who could resist that sweet face? So I caved...
"Almost there! Please let me get out of here!"

"Finally! Now I can look forward to the beach!"

But still she wonders...
"Is mummy dressing me up and taking photos for potential buyers?"

Me: No darling. I'm keeping you. Since you're supposed to be an Easter baby and I really love Phantom of the Opera, your name shall combine these two elements ok?
"Yay! Hallo everyone! Mummy is keeping me and I have a really lovely name!"

So here she is, my first Neo Blythe whom I've named "Glorielle Dae". :)

Princesse whom I was babysitting saw the package before I did...

Oh my gawd! My Aubrey (Prima Dolly 2) has arrived! I've been eyeing her for a while now and when I finally saw her online going at an incredible price, I knew I had to have her!
The service was excellent! My purchase was upgraded and she was express-sent to me! Unfortunately, I had to wait till the weekend to see her. It was also the weekend when Princesse was placed under my care while her mummy took a long work trip overseas...
"My goodness! What's this? What do we have here?!"

Oops! I've forgotten to inform Princesse about the new girl. She wouldn't have expected it and she'd be in for a rude shock...
"Mmmm, hallo?"

Me: Uh, my dear, she is my new doll...
"Your what?! You never told me that there are other dolls around!"
She shrieked before recovering her composure and then she stared daggers at me...

*gulp*
So I decided to placate the princessy one by letting her try on a new dress. Seemingly happy, she walked up to the one in the box...
"Am I pretty or what?"

But soon after she wandered over to a corner and sat quietly staring into space...

Then she whispered, her voice full of sadness, "I miss my mummy!!!"

Awww...

I was online shopping for a suitable gift for my brother who was turning 21 when I came across a site selling a set of Samurai sword miniatures as well as Blythe petites. They were selling the little darling I've been eyeing at an irresistable price! So finally taking the plunge, I decided to order her together with my brother's present.
So who is she? She is none other than a Meringue Coco! She looked so adorable in the pictures and I couldn't resist her in that lil bear chef costume. Somehow, she also reminded me of Kozy, my dream blythe!
My search for a doll has finally ended! I had been lying in wait for one to make me squeal in delight and she did it! I was so excited to get her that along with the same order, I bought her shoes (Sole Mate) and a set of clothes (Deer Red).
Thankfully she arrived safely. The best part? She arrived on Valentine's Day! And just in time to welcome and partake in the Lunar New Year celebrations too...

But first, introducing Kaylie, my beloved Blythe petite...

Is she a dear?
She is showing off a cake she baked. Only problem is, it's not Christmas! Hehehe...

Little red Kaylie in her cute scooter.

More photos to come! :)

Soon after meeting Thea, I decided to test my blythe interest by babysitting 2 lil petites belonging to Fenni and April.
We had been discussing Blythes since September 2006 and while on a work trip in October 2006, they caved and bought themselves a petite each! Fenni bought a Classy Classmate whom she named Chanel and April's Bohemian Beat is called Gucci. In the meanwhile I, the "firestarter" remained Blythe-less. Hehehehe... :P
I was hoping this little adventure will allow me to find out if I had the "motherly instincts" and interest in order for me to take the giant leap into the world of Blythes!
I guess I didn't do too bad a job. The girls were quite happy to be in front of the camera.
Chanel expressing her joy.

Gucci electrifies with her sultry gaze.

Girls with Sweet tooth!

Yup, they had fun alright..

I wasn't expecting her, and I jumped when I saw her sitting there on my keyboard waving "hello". What a start to the day!
But soon my shock was replaced by awe. Seeing Thea-Marie up close made me realise how adorable Blythes are!
She was sweet temptation indeed...

It all began in earnest a few months back when I was surfing Ebay and laid eyes on the cutest plastic miniatures, which I later found out to be made by Re-ment & Megahouse, both Japanese toy companies. Soon after, I discovered little Thai miniatures made of polymer clay that were equally as adorable and came in an assortment of pastries, food and plants.
After weeks of browsing, I began bidding on them off Ebay. Thus began my little adventure into the realm of collecting.
This little interest of mine revived another, that of Blythe dolls. I knew of them a couple of years ago when an acquaintance bought a doll of her own. I thought they were strange and scary and so I never gave these dolls much notice. The acquaintance and I soon lost contact and there was no further mention of Blythes.
However, my interest was piqued again when I came across the book cover of Blythe Style on Amazon... For once I stopped looking at them as scary and instead was mesmerized by the versatility of these strange big headed dolls. I began researching and discussing them with my friends at work and soon got them hooked as well.
But we merely talked as we were all practical adults who thought it ridiculous to spend hundreds on a doll. We contented ourselves browsing through other people's photo collections while wondering who would be the first to cave and be the first who will own a doll.
I thought the interest will soon die off. It usually does but somehow, being on Ebay and exposed to all these different dolls made me dream of having one to call my own. Soon able to differentiate between the different dolls and make. But I was still unable to find one that I really liked and coupled with the high price tag, I thought I would never bring myself to get one.
One day, our office had a new temp designer and through sheer coincidence, discovered that she owned many of these Blythes! She actually brought her Kenner to the office and let a few of us babysat her.
From then on, pandora's box was opened...
